Em was really excited about Myron’s outfit for Uncle Pete and Cioci Amanda’s wedding. Our friend, Jane was in Italy at the time She learned of Myron’s pending arrival, so she stopped into a store that had some baby things in the window and picked up these fancy Italian baby shoes! Despite not walking (or crawling) yet, Myron has the most stylish feet in the family. Em put together the rest of the ensemble around those shoes.

What could have been tricky logistics getting from Rhode Island to Durham to the coast of North Carolina was made easy by lots of help – Aunt Emily set us up with an infant car seat, Aunt Lisa and Uncle David drove us from Durham to the coast, and Myron got passed around from one family member to another the whole weekend.

Myron was getting over the obligatory beginning-daycare cold right as the wedding took place. He had a fever right before the ceremony, so Em made sure to alert a couple of nurses in the family. Turned out fine, but Myron thanked Aunt Colleen by sucking on her shoulder for much of the night. He left her a shoulder hickey!

We rode back to Durham with Uncle David and Aunt Donna, had a delicious pasta dinner, spent the night at their house, rolled around on the floor and such, and then we flew home.

Mostly Myron slept again on the flights back, interrupted by the occasional face-palming.
